The workshop was intended to ensure that the engagements of the PhilDAFAs in their posts are in line with the Philippine policies and programs.

Key officials from the Department of National Defense also apprised the PhilDAFAs of the current programs and thrust of the department to include the Defense Transformation Program and the AFP Modernization Program.
The workshop provided an avenue for the PhilDAFAs to craft their strategic plan of action for the next three years in the context of the sub-region where they are assigned to include Southeast Asia, Asia-Pacific, the US and Australia, South Asia and the Middle East and Europe.
